Well Rooted Gardens has NNLA certified staff on board so that we can provide you with the best of the following services.
Turf Care
Mowing
- Weekly we will mow and trim your lawn to a healthy height. We also leave a striped lawn; varying the mowing patterns biweekly in order to prevent ruts in the lawn, and to leave it with a professionally manicured look.
- Our courteous and professional team cleans up general trash in the lawn before mowing, and blows clean the surrounding concrete after.
- We sharpen and clean our mowing blades after every eight hours of use in order to give the grass a clean cut, and thus not stress the plant which makes it vulnerable to disease.
Lawn Treatment Program
We include seven monthly treatments, from April through October, to help bring you a healthier lawn.
- April: Pre-emergent with semi-organic fertilizer
- May: Pre-emergent with semi-organic fertilizer along with spot spraying of broadleaf weeds
- June: Grub control with slow-release organic fertilizer and spot spraying of weeds
- July: Targeted weed spraying especially for the hard-to-kill weeds like crabgrass
- August: Summer semi-organic fertilizer and spot spraying of broadleaf weeds
- September: Semi-organic fertilizer and spot spraying of broadleaf weeds
- October: Fertilizer geared to winterize the lawn and give an extra boost of green come next spring
Aerating
What does it mean to aerate your lawn? Aeration is where the soil is perforated with small holes to alleviate compaction, remove thatch, and enhance the circulation of air, water, and nutrients. This process helps create a more favorable environment for the roots, allowing them to penetrate deeper into the soil.
Seeding
Seeding is the process of sowing seeds onto the soil to establish new grass in a specific area, often for lawn renovation or establishment. We commonly recommend this practice to fill bare patches, promote thicker turf, or introduce a different grass variety to the lawn. We only use ‘Blue Tag’ seed which is certified to have a higher germination ratio, less weed seed present, and provides a higher quality stand of grass when finished.
